Zico Coconut Water has signed a deal with Worcester, Mass.-based Polar Beverages to distribute its products throughout New England. Polar will be responsible for the product in all markets except Vermont, which will continue to be handled by G. Housen.

“We’ve been watching the emerging coconut water category for some time,” said Gerry Martin, Polar Beverage’s vice president of marketing. “After hearing of Zico’s success in New York, Los Angeles and other markets and learning about their disciplined, methodical go-to-market plan for New England, we felt it was the ideal brand for Polar.”

Zico additionally announced that it has relocated its headquarters from Oradell, N.J., to Hermosa Beach, Calif.

“Hermosa Beach is one of the surfing capitals of the world and we believe Southern California will become one of our most important regions,” said Mark Rampolla, the company's founder and chief executive officer. “Given the enormous potential that this area represents, we felt it only natural to authenticate our presence here by relocating our corporate headquarters."
