Leinenkugel Brewing Co., which is part of MillerCoors’ Tenth and Blake Brewing Co., is bringing back Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout for a limited time beginning Nov. 1. First brewed in 2007, Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout is made with 11 different malts, including Munich, Carmel, Chocolate, classic Pale and Pale Ale, as well as Warrior, Summit and Glacier hops. The beer is made in the style of 18th century Russian Imperial Stout that contained extra malts and hops to act as preservatives during long voyages from England to Russia, where it was served in royal court. Big Eddy contains 9.5 percent alcohol by volume and will be available in select markets in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, New Jersey, Georgia and Arizona in four-packs for $11.99 and on draft.
