Posts using hashtag #CheerwineSummer can win merchandise, prizes
July 31, 2020
Cheerwine is thanking people for “creating cheer” this summer on social media with 11 weeks of uniquely southern prizes, rewarding those who post photos with the hashtag #CheerwineSummer.
Despite an atmosphere in which many carbonated soft drinks have struggled to maintain sales, Cheerwine, a brand of Salisbury, N.C.-based Carolina Beverage Corp., has experienced continual growth, both in sales and distribution.
Cheerwine, the “legendary soft drink of the South,” and indie-rockers The Avett Brothers will host a charity concert Oct. 19 to support Operation Homefront, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital.
After weeks of public voting, fans have appointed Salisbury, N.C.-based Caroline Beverage Corp.’s second annual Miss Cheerwine. Bria Freed of Fort Myers, Fla., was selected to represent the 95-year-old family-owned soda as brand ambassador to spread the Legend of the South in the ultimate summer job.
