Lassonde Industries Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of fruit juices and juice drinks based in Rougemont, Quebec, has entered into a definitive agreement through its U.S. subsidiary US Juice Partners LLC to acquire Apple & Eve LLC, Port Washington, N.Y., for approximately $150 million.

Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), Decatur, Ill., announced its plans to acquire Wild Flavors GmbH, Zug, Switzerland, giving ADM the ability to offer food and beverage companies a comprehensive suite of systems to enhance and improve their products, the company says.

Brynwood Partners, a Greenwich, Conn.-based buyout firm, announced that its newly formed portfolio company, Harvest Hill Beverage Co., has acquired the Juicy Juice business from Nestlé USA, Glendale, Calif.

Hormel Foods Corp., Austin, Minn., has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire CytoSport Holdings Inc., Benicia, Calif., for approximately $450 million. The deal includes the Muscle Milk brand of shelf-stable, ready-to-drink protein beverages; a manufacturing facility in Benicia, Calif.; as well as several manufacturing and distribution agreements both domestically and abroad, according to Hormel Foods. Total 2014 annual sales for the Muscle Milk brand are expected to be approximately $370 million, it says.

Zalkin’s management team and employees will continue to operate from their facilities in Montreuil L’Argillé and Rueil-Malmaison, France.
