Consumers who donate $1 to Food Bank For New York City will receive a Jamba Juice coupon book

Jamba Juice stores in all five boroughs of New York City are coming together to support Food Bank of New York City through a consumer donation initiative. The stores owned by Emeryville, Calif.-based parent company Jamba Juice Co. are encouraging consumers to donate $1 to Food Bank For New York City and, in return, will give the consumers a Jamba Juice coupon book with various deals for use with their next Jamba Juice visits. All proceeds collected through June 13 will provide funding for the approximately 400,000 free meals that are distributed by Food Bank each day to New Yorkers in need.
Beverage company works to help 1 million people in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina

Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo Inc. and its philanthropic arm, the PepsiCo Foundation, are donating $300,000 to support international relief efforts in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina following massive flooding that has caused widespread devastation and destruction. In addition to this financial commitment, the company is donating 1.5 tons of its products to help the more than 1 million people in need.
Traveling beer festival aims to be the largest craft beer celebration in history

Chico, Calif.-based Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has invited every one of the more than 2,700 craft breweries across the country to participate in a multi-weekend traveling beer festival this summer. Beer Camp Across America is a celebration for the entire craft beer community, aiming to bring together brewers and their fans, the company says.
Donations help relief effort in wake of Typhoon Haiyan

In the wake of the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan on Friday, Nov. 8, beverage companies are working fast to send aid to affected communities in the Philippines. The typhoon flattened towns, destroying at least 80,000 homes and leaving more than 582,000 people homeless and more than 2,275 dead, according to a CNN report.
Proceeds from event benefit nonprofit children’s camp

Seattle-based TalkingRain, the maker of Sparkling Ice, announced its sponsorship of Party Camp, a one-day event that aims to bring the joy of summer camp to grown-ups while helping the underprivileged.
Cheerwine, the “legendary soft drink of the South,” and indie-rockers The Avett Brothers will host a charity concert Oct. 19 to support Operation Homefront, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital.
