Johnnie Walker unveiled it limited-edition bottle featuring a new blend: Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami.
Crafted by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker and world-renowned Japanese Chef Kei Kobayashi, this innovative blend encapsulates the enigmatic taste of umami, a Japanese word used to identify the “fifth taste,” a flavor that possesses mysterious qualities. In an exercise to decode the flavor, the duo, who are masters of their crafts, unlocked a balanced Blended Scotch whisky of sweet and savory flavors, with notes of blood oranges and red berries with sweet wood spice, a touch of smoked meat, a hint of salt and pepper with a long, sweet fruit finish, the company says.
