Budweiser is looking to crown its biggest fan as ‘King of Bud’

Contest prize includes tour of St. Louis brewery

In celebration of National Drink Beer Day, Budweiser, a brand of Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, is looking for fans, no matter their gender, to serve as the King of Bud and win $50,000.

To be crowned King of Bud, contestants must show their love and loyalty to the brand by posting a photo to Twitter using the #KingofBudContest hashtag.

“The King of Bud will be the most dedicated fan in the United States, who shows off their love of the brand loud and proud. Not only is Bud their beer of choice, but they proclaim their deep love for the crisp taste of Budweiser on a regular basis,” the company said in a statement.

On top of the $50,000 prize, Budweiser will give the King of Bud the keys to the Budweiser Brewery in St. Louis.

With keys to the St. Louis brewery, perks include a designated Budweiser ‘throne’ located in the center of the brewery, a photoshoot on the ornate chair, a plaque donning the King of Bud’s name at the brewery, VIP access to a tour of brewery as well as a VIP experience at Warm Springs with the Clydesdales and a gift shop shopping spree, the company says.
