St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, a division of AB InBev, announced the latest beer release for its Shock Top brand: Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat.
Shock Top Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat is a Belgian-style, unfiltered wheat ale brewed with honey and caramel malt and aged on bourbon cask staves. The new year-round beer has a mellow amber color and contains 5.5 percent alcohol by volume, the company says.
The company also released a video featuring Shock Top Brewmaster Jill Vaughn highlighting the inspiration for the new beer and how it achieves the balance between flavor and refreshment.
The new beer is available nationwide in six-packs and 12-packs of bottles as well as on draft.
