Paccar Inc., Bellevue, Wash., donated $1.5 million to the University of North Texas to benefit research and teaching at the school’s College of Engineering. The gift will establish the Paccar Technology Institute and fund the Paccar Professorship of Engineering at the university’s Research Park College of Engineering in Denton, Texas.
LexJet, Sarasota, Fla., is
supporting the charity Flat Daddies, which creates photo enlargements of
soldiers deployed overseas for their families. Flat Daddies and Mommies are
created by SFC Graphics, Toledo, Ohio, and printed on LexJet 55
Intermediate Adhesive Vinyl that is donated by the company.
Intervolve Inc., Raleigh,
N.C., has integrated its Route Accounting System with the Roadnet
Transportation Suite from UPS Logistics. The combinations will provide beverage distributors with
on-demand sales, distribution and transportation management to optimize
routes and save costs.
Sidel Group, Le Havre,
France, will continue streamlining its Italian operations under Sidel Spa in Parma, Italy. This
year, Sidel’s two factories will be merged in Parma, which will house
Simonazzi and
Sidel equipment for filling, processing, rinsing, palletizing,
depalletizing and additional end-of-the-line equipment.
Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp, Richmond, Va., recognized its top three dealers of 2006: J.M.
Equipment Co. Inc., Fresno, Calif.; New England Industrial Trucks, Boston;
and Montacargas y Manejo de Materiales S.A., Mexico City. The company also
honored 10 “Elite” salespeople of the year.

Austin, Texas, offers 19 free online training courses on wireless solutions

will offer five more courses soon and plans to
translate all 24 courses into Spanish and Chinese.
