Blue Pacific Flavors, City of Industry, Calif., launched a “Catching the Green Wave” environmental stewardship campaign. The plan's goal is to achieve carbon-neutrality by 2013 through system-wide changes to offset emissions from the company's administrative and manufacturing operations.
Danisco, Madison, Wis.,
broke ground on a new 19,200-square-foot facility expansion in Madison. The
new expansion will house an ultra-cold storage facility and packaging
operations for frozen dairy cultures.
David Michael & Co.,
Philadelphia, opened a David Michael de Mexico SA de CV facility in Lerma,
Mexico. The new location spans 19,685 square feet, and houses numerous
laboratories, including applications, culinary, sensory, quality control,
flavor creation and microbiology. The production facility includes
the capability of manufacturing liquid and powder blends, emulsions, washed
oils, beverage concentrates, among other flavor related products.
TIC Gums, Belcamp, Md.,
has self-affirmed the GRAS status for its TICAmulsion line of modified gum
acacia emulsifiers based on an evaluation from an independent expert panel
of scientists. This status permits the use of modified gum acacia in a wide
variety of foods and beverages.
BASF Corp., Florham Park,
N.J., has entered an agreement with Brewers
Supply Group, Shakopee, Minn., to serve as
an authorized distributor for Divergan beverage filtration products for the
beer industry in the United States.
