Tequila Don Julio partnered with Airstream Speakeasy to take the tequila brand on the road in a mobile craft cocktail bar.
To pair with appetizers, Tequila Don Julio served its Siesta cocktail, which mixes Tequila Don Julio Blanco with Campari, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and grapefruit juice garnished with a grapefruit peel.
Tequila Don Julio served its Diamante cocktail, which mixes Tequila Don Julio Blanco with Cointreau, clarified lime juice and simple syrup. This cocktail was served from a cocktail draft system onboard the Airstream Speakeasy.
The Tequila Don Julio lineup includes Añejo, Blanco, 1942, 70 Añejo Claro and Reposado tequila, among other varieties.
Tequila Don Julio served its Speakeasy Shandy cocktail with dinner. The cocktail blends Tequila Don Julio Reposado with a summer herb syrup mixture, fresh lemon juice and peach lambic with a lemon wedge and fresh herb sprigs for garnish.
Also with dinner, Tequila Don Julio served its Don’s Julio cocktail, which mixes Tequila Don Julio Blanco with Riesling syrup, verjus and muddled cucumber. The cocktail was garnished with sliced cucumber dusted with black pepper, which also helps to cleanse the palate between cocktails and courses, the brand says.
Toward the dessert portion of the evening, Tequila Don Julio served its El Sueño cocktail, which features Tequila Don Julio 70 Crystal Añejo, Tequila Don Julio Añejo, crème de cacao, almond syrup, mole bitters and a caramelized orange peel for garnish.
Tequila Don Julio’s Airstream Speakeasy featured a draft cocktail system for dispensing pre-mixed cocktails.
