BASF exhibited a new product application for beverages at Food Ingredients Europe. Fitting in with the company’s “Think Newtrition” platform, it exhibited LCE beverages, which is a new take on ACE drinks that provide vitamins A, C and E. BASF’s LCE beverage incorporates lycopene for color and antioxidant content. The company offers Lycovit CWD/S for lycopene formulations. The ingredient was developed especially for beverage applications, particularly soft drinks, sports drinks, vitamin juices and fruit juices, the company says.
