Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages created a line of super-premium Snapple juice drinks. The new Snapple juice drinks offer flavor combinations from “superfruits” and contain all-natural ingredients with added vitamins. The line includes four flavors: Goji Punch and Peach Mangosteen and low-calorie Noni Berry and Kiwi Pear. Two of the products, Goji Punch, with vitamins A and E, and Peach Mangosteen, with vitamins A, C and E, are for immunity. For a metabolism boost, Cadbury created Noni Berry and Kiwi Pear, which include caffeine and EGCG and 10 calories per serving. Packaged in tall, slim 17.5-ounce bottles, Snapple Super Premium Juice Drinks retail for $1.39.

100 percent Arabica beans
Kraft Foods Global Inc. reformulated its Maxwell House brand to include 100 percent Arabica beans. Arabica beans are known for their quality, rich aroma and distinctive taste, the company says. In addition, Maxwell House introduced a new plastic canister for its larger sizes. The packaging for 33- to 39-ounce sizes includes a flavor lock lid to seal in freshness and has a pass-through handle. Maxwell House retails for $3.59 for 11- to 13-ounce cans and $8.59 for 33- to 39-ounce canisters.

Cott Corp. launched a zero-calorie and 50-calorie vitamin water line called Emerge. The beverages contain reverse-osmosis purified water that is infused with vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins for energy, vitamin C and zinc for immune system health, and antioxidants, the company says. Redux Beverages, maker of the controversial Cocaine drink, released Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator. Licensed from the 2006 cult-movie “Idiocracy,” Brawndo is a Lemon-Lime endurance supplement beverage. The bright green drink contains 200 mg. of caffeine, electrolytes, inositol and guarana and is said to have a tangy flavor. TwinCal’s water is drawn from a glacially formed aquifer that is high in naturally occurring calcium. The bottled water also is infused with calcium carbonate, and contains magnesium and silica. Revolution Tea released Revolution 50/50 Iced for the foodservice industry. The new flavor is the company’s take on an Arnold Palmer, and blends premium black tea with lemonade.
