Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo Inc. announced a global sustainability agenda designed to foster continued business growth in a way that responds to changing consumer and societal needs. The company’s efforts, which focus on creating a healthier relationship between people and food, include specific 2025 goals to continue transforming PepsiCo’s food and beverage portfolios, contribute to a more sustainable global food system and help make local communities more prosperous, it says.
Taking place Sept. 11-15, 2017, drinktec is the largest sector event for the beverage and liquid food industry. Referred by many as a World Summit, its status has been built up throughout many years. By always keeping pace with and adapting to economic trends and changes in the sector, drinktec has embraced that moniker, it says.

Nutritional beverage designed to be low in FODMAPs

Nestlé Health Science, a wholly owned subsidiary of Glendale, Calif.-based Nestlé USA, introduced ProNourish, a product specifically designed and marketed to be low in fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols (FODMAPs) for people with digestive sensitivities, the company says.
Sonic Drive-In, Oklahoma City, Okla., introduced Frozen Sweet Teas as part of its Ultimate Iced Tea Stop. Its new lineup of frozen drinks will be joined by three new flavors of iced tea: Wildberry, Black Cherry and Pomegranate Hibiscus.
