CBS ArcSafe offers a new single-application remote racking solution (RRS) for ABB ADVAC vacuum circuit breakers with closed-door racking. The lightweight, portable CBS ArcSafe RRS-3 ADVAC (CDP) features an interlock pushbutton that allows technicians to remotely install and remove the circuit breaker from a safe distance of as far as 300 feet while remaining stationed outside the arc-flash boundary. This helps keep operators safer than arc-flash mitigation alternatives, the company says. In addition, installation and operation doesn’t require any modifications to the existing electrical equipment due to a magnetic latching system. The RRS-3 ADVAC (CDP) is compatible with all standard 5–15 kV ABB ADVAC circuit breakers featuring closed-door racking with pushbutton-style interlock.
