The line includes Green’s Discovery Amber Ale, medium-bodied with subtle caramel and nut flavor nuances; Green’s Endeavour Dubbel Ale, a classic dubbel style with a hint of dark-sugar and toffee flavor; and Green’s Quest Tripel, which has a light body for a beer with 8.5 percent alcohol by volume.
Merchant du Vin also imports Westmalle Trappist Ale Dubbel and Tripel from the Westmalle Abbey, north of Antwerp in the Flanders region of Belgium. The Dubbel is amber-brown colored, with a subtle deep-caramel aroma and flavor balanced by Belgian yeast character. The Tripel offers a deep-gold color, and herbal aroma that suggests candied orange.
