Offering 4.5 grams of carbohydrates and 94 calories per 12-ounce serving,
Low Carb Green Apple is sold in supermarkets, convenience stores, clubs,
bars and restaurants. The new drink is supported by national television
advertising, outdoor and print ads. Female-oriented cable networks such as
Oxygen and Style will also be targeted by the new ad campaign.
The suggested retail price per six-pack of 12-ounce
bottles is similar to other Bacardi Silver products.

Natural sodas
Herbal Enterprises, a
division of Ferolito Vultaggio & Sons, has reintroduced Soho Natural Sodas. The line of
carbonated soft drinks is available in five flavors: Blueberry Soda, Root
Beer, Lemon-Lime, Cola and Orange Soda. Each 23-ounce can features the New
York City skyline, which the company says capitalizes on its New York
roots. The drinks were initially launched in New York, New Jersey, Florida
and Chicago, with national rollout scheduled this spring. Each can is sold
for $0.99.

launched EverGlo, an emerald-colored spirit from Amsterdam. The drink is a

features a glow-in-the-dark label, and each 750-ml. bottle is sold for

Diageo recently launched
Smirnoff Signatures, a line of prepared vodka-based cocktails. Available in
Screwdriver, which is a blend of vodka, orange and tropical fruit flavors;
and Cape Codder, which is a cranberry-vodka blend, the new ready-made
drinks are sold in 750-ml. and 1.75-liter bottles. Each 750-ml. bottle
retails for $8.99, and contains enough for six cocktails. The 1.75-liter
bottle is sold for $14.99 and serves 14 drinks.

Eastern Germany-inspired lager
The Boston Beer Co. has
debuted Samuel Adams Black Lager, a schwarzbier-style of beer typical of
Eastern Germany. Featuring two-row Munich, Harrington and deep-roasted
Carafa malts, and Noble hops from the Spalt region of Bavaria, the beer has
a deep ruby color similar to porters and stouts. The beer is recommended
served with steak tips, grilled salmon or pork chops. It is available in
12-ounce six-packs for $6.99 to $7.99.

Monkey mania
Canandaigua Wine Co. has
introduced Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand’s Marlborough
region. Named for a small bay within the Marlborough Coast’s Cloudy
Bay, the grapes for Monkey Bay are sourced predominantly from the Rarangi
vineyard in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, close to where the Wairau
River flows into Cloudy Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Monkey Bay's label was
designed by Harkness Walker Design, creator of Australia’s Yellow
Tail label, and features a leaping green monkey. The suggested retail price
per 750-ml. bottle is $9.99.
