Newcastle Brown Ale, a brand of Heineken USA, released the first of four Newcastle Limited Edition beers planned for this year. Returning this summer, Newcastle Summer Ale is a bold, crisp ale, the company says, that has been available since 2009. Newcastle Summer Ale is a golden beer with subtle citrus and hop aroma that has a clean, refreshing flavor with a dry finish, it says. The seasonal variety will be replaced with Newcastle Werewolf in the fall and Newcastle Winter IPA later in the year. The limited edition beers will be available in select markets nationwide in six-pack and 12-pack bottles as well as on draft.
