Del Papa Distributing Co, Beaumont, Texas, recognized employee Tom Bergeron with a Landmark Achievement Award for his 40-plus years of service with the company. In addition, Del Papa made a donation on his behalf to the charitable organization of his choice — St. Anthony’s Cathedral Basilica in Beaumont. The church plans to use the donation to help make repairs to damages that Hurricane Ike made to the building’s foundation.

 

Bergeron joined Del Papa in 1968 as a driver salesman. After 20 years he moved to advanced sales, then on to a position as a quality control and random auditing worker. He later transferred to the human resources department, leading him to his current position in human resources sales training.
