Starbucks rolls out holiday seasonal beverages, packaging

Starbucks Coffee Co., Seattle, launched its holiday seasonal beverages and red cups today. In addition to its holiday-themed beverage lineup, the company debuted Starbucks Via Ready Brew Christmas Blend and Starbucks Christmas Blend Espresso Roast coffees.

Starbucks Christmas Blend Espresso roast is a darker roast of one of Starbucks’ most popular coffees, the company says. The espresso roast version of Christmas Blend has an intense flavor profile and spicy finish, the company says, and is available at participating stores. Starbucks also added Starbucks Via Ready Brew Christmas Blend variety for consumers on-the-go.

The coffee chain also will bring back its red holiday cups as well as seasonal beverages, including Caramel Brulée Latte, Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte.

To celebrate the launch, Starbucks is hosting holiday pop-up experiences in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can create and share a free personalized postcard with a special “Buy One, Get One” offer for a Starbucks beverage and send greeting to friends and family.

In addition, participating company-operated and licensed stores in the United States will offer customers a free beverage for a friend when purchasing a holiday beverage of equal of lesser value from to 2 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 18 to 21.
