Monsanto and The Solae Co. announced an agreement to develop and market a new line of soy proteins with improved flavor and solubility. Using advanced plant breeding technology, the new soybean features higher levels of beta-conglycinin, designed to improve soy protein flavor and functionality.
Martin Bauer North America, a supplier of specialty herbal extracts, powders, tea cuts and standardized extracts, and Guilin LAYN Natural Ingredients have formed a strategic partnership establishing MB North America as the exclusive distributor of LAYN’s botanical extract ingredients in North America.
Patrick Lee has joined Guayaki Sustainable Rainforest Products, San Luis Obispo, Calif., as vice president of sales.  
Glanbia Nutritionals, Monroe, Wis., recently named Jim Lees vice president of sales for North America; Billie Tessendorf technical sales manager; and Max Maxwell business development manager.
Accurate Ingredients, Syosset, N.Y., has launched a newly redesigned website at acing.net that enables visitors to search ingredient offerings from dozens of major suppliers, including a wide range of traditional, natural and organic food ingredients.
