Partnership strengthens growth plans, premium bottled water brand, CEO says

Leawood, Kan.-based private equity firm Great Range Capital acquired Mountain Valley Water Co. of Hot Springs, Ark. Mountain Valley is the oldest continuously operated bottled water company in the United States, according to the company. The premium bottled water company serves individual consumers, major retailers and foodservice operators in all 50 states and in select international markets, it says.
Noah’s Sparkling Spring Water moved from glass bottles to 12-ounce slim cans. The company’s reasons for the change include aluminum’s ability to keep beverages colder longer, portability, convenience and sustainability, it says.
Pangea Water introduced a product of the same name made from Italian natural spring water. The water qualifies as a light mineral water because of its balance of mineral salts, sodium and scarce fixed residue.
