7-Eleven Inc., Dallas, added the new Sprite 6 Mix by LeBron James Slurpee to its lineup of frozen beverages lineup. Inspired by the limited-edition Sprite flavor developed between The Coca-Cola Co. and the NBA superstar, the new Slurpee also features the taste of traditional Sprite mixed with cherry and orange flavors, the company says.
Coconut water brand partners with actress Jessica Alba

Zico, a coconut water brand of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co., announced that actress Jessica Alba will serve as brand ambassador for its new “Crack Life Open” national brand campaign. The multimillion-dollar campaign includes Zico print, out-of-home (OOH) and digital advertising across the United States.
In February, The Coca-Cola Co. and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc., now known as Keurig Green Mountain, announced plans to develop a new at-home beverage system called the Keurig Cold that would enable consumers to make their own Coca-Cola branded drinks at home.
New equipment expands number of locations suited for the fountain technology

Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. added three new models to its Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain equipment portfolio to help expand the number of locations suited for the technology, the company says. Like the full-size Freestyle machines, the new countertop units offer multiple beverage choices, including low- and zero-calorie options, and an interactive touchscreen experience but in a smaller unit size. The new Coca-Cola Freestyle countertop dispensers will be piloted by the end of the year, the company says.
Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. reported worldwide volume growth of 2 percent as well as volume and value share gains for its non-alcohol ready-to-drink (NARTD) beverages portfolio during the first quarter of 2014.
