In the wake of the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan on Friday, Nov. 8, beverage companies are working fast to send aid to affected communities in the Philippines. The typhoon flattened towns, destroying at least 80,000 homes and leaving more than 582,000 people homeless and more than 2,275 dead, according to a CNN report.
Burger chain offers freshly brewed, organic iced teas at all US locations

Smashburger, Denver, announced that it will carry Bethesda, Md.-based Honest Tea’s fresh-brewed organic iced teas at all of its restaurants nationwide. Each Smashburger location will brew a selection of iced teas from the independent operating unit of The Coca-Cola Co.
Company reports 25th consecutive quarter of value share growth

The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta reported its third-quarter and year-to-date 2013 results, noting continued global value share gains in total non-alcohol ready-to-drink (NARTD) beverages. Worldwide volume grew 2 percent in the quarter and year-to-date, with North American volume up 1 percent in the quarter and year-to-date, the company reports.

The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, reported its second quarter and year-to-date 2013 results. Globally, the company reported volume growth of 1 percent in the second quarter and 3 percent year-to-date as well as global volume and value share growth in total non-alcohol ready-to-drink (NARTD) beverages as well as in both sparkling and still beverages.
Dollar sales for carbonated beverages in U.S. retail stores increased by 1.9 percent in 2012 compared with the prior year; however, volume decreased by 1.6 percent, according to Euromonitor International, Chicago.
The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, and World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Washington, D.C., announced new global environmental goals and an expanded global partnership to advance The Coca-Cola Co.’s sustainability stewardship.
