Fruit 66 adopts school guidelines

4U2U Brands, Richmond, Va., maker of Fruit 66 sparkling juice, says it is adopting the School Beverage and Competitive Food Guidelines of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a joint initiative between the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation.

”Student nutrition has always been our preeminent focus in the creation of Fruit 66,” said William Hargis, president and chief executive officer at 4U2U Brands. “Embracing the guidelines developed by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation reflects our commitment to the health and well being of our nation’s children. It is our hope that this collaboration will further strengthen the Alliance’s initiative, an initiative that helps schools from coast to coast create healthier environments for students. We share the Alliance’s goal of reversing the trend of childhood obesity.”
