Separation systems
Domnick Hunter partners with food and beverage producers in the quest to supply separation systems that will help guarantee quality and reduce process costs. Key products include:
• PCO2 Series Carbon Dioxide Purifiers for the removal of harmful contaminants from CO2 supplies used by bottling plants for the manufacture of carbonated drinks and fountain drink dispense.

Filling systems
Krones Inc. will show new innovations for the dairy and bottled water industries at BevExpo. First, Krones PET-Asept filling system for cold aseptic filling of high- and low-acid products in plastic containers features Isolator technology, an air-tight, sealed tunnel system that surrounds on the bottle path. It was developed to ensure microbiological safety while providing simplified handling for users. The other product is VO-DM-PET Volumetric filling system for water. It uses flow meters, diaphragm valves and electropneumatic controls for all phases of the filling process. The VO-DM-PET Volumetric filler provides accurate filling of non-carbonated water. The smooth, hygienic product path ensures easy cleaning.

Ozone purification systems

Rotary bottle filler
Evergreen Packaging Equipment will display its standard unibloc bottle filler, featuring 30 rinse heads, 30 fill heads, and eight capping heads at BevExpo. The machine is ideal for filling water, juice or dairy products.
The bottle-filling system can be equipped with Class 100 HEPA air filtration, process-specific bottle sanitation, a volumetric electronic filling system and automatic CIP. Capping options include snap-n-screw or screw-on capping, as well as foil lid application. All machine features are specifically designed to allow for maximum product shelf life along with superior in-plant performance.

Bottle handling systems
Posimat, America’s specialist in empty bottle handling systems, will unveil the new Vertijet vertical air conveyor at InterBev this year. The Vertijet conveys bottles from 0° to 90° — up or down, thanks to the patented duel-chamber, duel-guide system.

There are five “low-carb” varieties: Peach-Strawberry “Power A;” Orange “Rejuvenate;” Kiwi-Strawberry “Recovery;” and Tropical-Citrus “Revitalize.”

The 2 Pack Bottle Carrier can be supplied in any Pantone color to match existing graphics, can be printed with a UPC code and is available to fit all standard 2-liter bottles. The flat design of the carrier makes it easier to ship and store than injection molded carriers. Additionally, a variety of application solutions are available from manual to fully automatic application to fit the full range of needs at the manufacturer or converter.

Vertical ring wrapper
Wulftec/M.J. Maillis Group will show off its recent Maillis Dominator vertical ring wrapper at InterBev. The unit promises to offer increased productivity, greater flexibility and substantial film savings. In addition to a wrapping speed of 45 rpm, the Dominator can reduce film use by up to 40 percent without compromising holding power. And despite a long list of standard features only offered as options on competing products, the Dominator is one of the most affordable vertical ring wrappers on the market.
