Georgia-Pacific Packaging
, Atlanta, introduced its Packaging Systems Optimization program, which is a five-step process to improve the efficiency of the packaging supply chain.
Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), Arlington, Va., introduced the PMMI Technical Training Community of Practice, which is a forum for end-users and original equipment manufacturers to address common challenges in operator training to develop best practices and clearly define expectations. The second Community of Practice meeting will be held in St. Louis on June 13 and hosted by Anheuser-Busch.
Invensys Process Systems, Pleasanton, Calif., announced its global partnership as global reseller for Transpara Corp.’s, Foxboro, Mass., Visual KPI operations intelligence software.
Peterbilt, Denton, Texas, is working with Eaton Corp. to develop advanced hybrid technologies for heavy-duty vehicles, partially helped by Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Saddle Creek Corp., Lakeland, Fla., has begun construction on its new 98,600-square-foot, high-volume cross-dock facility. The company also recently received ISO 9001:2000 certification at its existing Lakeland facility.
ProCore Labs, Coppell, Texas, unveiled its Factory Cam, which includes nearly 20 cameras positioned throughout one of its manufacturing facilities to allow its customers full-motion video of the manufacturing process in action.
