Avery Dennison RFID
, Clinton, S.C., recently released a white paper disclosing its product testing methodologies to members of the EPC at the annual EPCglobal U.S. Conference. Driven by the goal of RFID tag “pedigree,” the white paper is titled “The Test Pyramid: A Framework for Consistent Evaluation of RFID Tags From Design and Manufacture to End Use.” The company hopes the white paper will aid the establishment of industry standards for product testing.
Intralox, Harahan, La., announced it returned to normal operation after Hurricane Katrina. Intralox is able to ensure standard lead times for regular orders, at regular prices, backed by its on-time guarantee.
Crown Holdings Inc., Philadelphia, has completed the previously announced sale of its Global Plastic Closures business to an affiliate of PAI partners, a European private equity firm, for approximately $750 million.
Ball Packaging Europe opened its new plant in the Zemun district of Belgrade. The building costs for the beverage can plant totaled more than 50 million euros, making it the largest foreign investment project in Serbia.
Nature Products Inc., Chino Valley, Ariz., will produce special versions of its patented Look’N Sip water bottle labels to raise funds for the American Red Cross. Nature Products Inc.’s Look’N Sip 20-ounce water bottles with sport cap will be sold across the country for $2 each, with $1 to be donated to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund. The commemorative label features a young boy holding a Red Cross plastic bag, with the messages “American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund” and “I donated.”
