The National Beer Wholesalers Association, Alexandria, Va., has named Mike Johnson vice president, federal affairs. The association also promoted Michelle Semones to the position of vice president, public affairs, and Holly Lass to director, federal affairs... Matador Distributing Carolina LLC has named John McCorkle general manager. He previously oversaw all sales, operations and administrative functions for the Red Bull distributor... Michael T. Redman has been tapped as vice president for scientific, technical and regulatory affairs for the American Beverage Association, Washington, D.C. Redman most recently served as director of regulatory affairs for Cott Beverages... Atlanta-based National Distributing Co. Inc. announced the retirement of Jim Krug, founder and president of Grand Vin Colorado. He will serve as a consultant to the company, focusing on the Family Estate Wineries of California. Troy Edwards will take over as head of the Grand Vin division... Strong Brands LLC, New York City, has appointed Laura Belocas to the post of national marketing director. Goose Island Beer Co., Chicago, has appointed Bob Kenney vice president of sales. Kenney previously served as general manager of the central regional business unit of Heineken USA.
