Lipton launches all natural iced tea line

Lipton Iced Tea, a product of the Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership, launched a new line of beverages with all-natural ingredients. The new 100 Percent Natural Lipton Iced Tea line will be available in four flavors, including two consumer favorites, Green Tea with Citrus and Iced Tea with Lemon, as well as two new flavors, Iced Tea with Blueberry Pomegranate and Green Tea with Passionfruit Mango.

The 100 Percent Natural Lipton Iced Tea line was created in response to consumers’ continued desire for health, wellness and natural products, the company said. The beverages are made with Lipton tea, real sugar and natural flavors and will be packaged in 20-ounce bottles. In addition to the initial varieties, the company also plans to expand its diet portfolio with the addition of Diet Green Tea with Watermelon.

The company designed a summer programming initiative to promote the launch. “The Natural Side of Music” will include a surprise summer kick-off concert and online videos featuring songs and conversations with music artists. The promotion will be featured on Lipton Iced Tea’s Facebook fan page.

In addition, 100 Percent Natural Lipton Iced Tea’s introduction will be supported by a “You Are What You Tea” advertising campaign. The graphics will include a silhouette consisting of water, tea leaves and sunshine, which is designed to convey the naturally uplifting effect of drinking 100 Percent Natural Lipton Iced Tea, the company said.
