Snapple, a brand of Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Plano, Texas, teamed with pop-rock band Maroon 5 to develop a ready-to-drink tea named after one of the band’s hit singles.

PepsiCo, Purchase, N.Y., has partnered with Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc.'s convenience stores nationwide to help donate money to Feeding America, a hunger-relief charity that provides emergency food assistance to 37 million Americans each year, including 14 million children and 3 million seniors.

The American Beverage Association (ABA), Washington, D.C., reinforced the positive effect its members in the non-alcohol beverage industry have on the country. The association noted the industry’s support in charitable causes in communities across the nation that total more than $1.9 billion, it said.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, a retailer based in Los Angeles, has joined forces with Feeding America to kick off a fall campaign to raise funds for food banks around the country. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will work with the hunger-relief charity to donate a portion of funds raised at participating cafés this season to local food banks.
