Glazer’s Distributors has completed its acquisition of Permian Distributing Co. Permian is a 2.5 million case MillerCoors and non-alcohol beverage distributor, with more than 800 customers and a 42,000 square mile territory in West Texas.
“We are excited by the prospects of our latest venture, which is part of our overall corporate beer strategy to aggressively strike on great opportunities to expand our scope of influence,” said Glazer’s Texas vice president malt beverages Mark SoRelle in a statement. “The marketing area we have just acquired creates a West Texas MillerCoors footprint for Glazer’s that stretches from San Angelo to El Paso.”
Dan Gomez, previously vice president of sales and delivery for Permian, will be Glazer’s division sales manager, and Robbie Phernetton, sales manager for Permian, will be Glazer’s key account manager.
