EAS Peak

Abbott Nutrition introduced EAS Peak, a sports drink made with proprietary P3 technology. The P3 technology, which stands for Push, Perform and Protect, includes a slowly digested carbohydrate for sustained energy, amino acid beta-alanine for increased muscle capacity, and proprietary ingredient beta-hydroxy-beta-methlybutyrate (HMB) to reduce muscle protein breakdown, the company says. EAS Peak also provides 10 gram of protein, 25 grams of carbohydrates, 150 calories and less than 1 gram of fat. The beverage is available in Fruit Power, Orange Spark and Peach Surge varieties for $3.49 for a 16-ounce bottle. The product is available in the sports nutrition aisle with other EAS products in grocery stores, drug stores and mass retail outlets nationwide.
