In partnership with Treasury Wine Estates, a division of Foster’s Group Ltd., Australian winemaker Daryl Groom introduced Colby Red in Walgreens locations. The 2009 release is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Shiraz, Merlot and Petite Sirah from select Treasury Wine Estates vineyards. Colby Red is a table wine blend that is dedicated to raising awareness for heart disease through the Groom family’s support of the American Heart Association and St. Jude Medical Foundation. Treasury Wine Estates will match the contributions of the Groom family with a planned combined donation of $100,000 to the American Heart Association. The 2009 Colby Red will roll-out this month, which is American Heart Month, and will be available at more than 4,500 Walgreens locations for $12.99.
