The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, refiled its notification and report forms for its acquisition of Coca-Cola Enterprises’ North American bottling business to give the Federal Trade Commission and Canadian competition authorities more time to review the proposal.

The company re-filed the forms yesterday, giving the FTC and Canadian competition authorities 30 more days to review the proposed acquisition. Once its investigation is complete, the FTC will issue a Request for Additional Information or close its investigation, the company said.

The Coca-Cola Co. originally filed forms for the acquisition on June 30, but discussions with U.S. and Canadian authorities led to it withdrawing and refiling to allow more time for review. The company does not expect the refiling to affect its timetable for completion of the acquisition, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2010.
