Activate Drinks expands into New York market

Activate Drinks, Newport Beach, Calif., announced that it has expanded distribution of its Activate nutrient-enhanced water line into the New York City market. The beverages now are available at select New York City food chains including Morton Williams, Westside Market and Eli Zabar, as well as at some natural and specialty stores. The line will be available at other major city retailers including Food Emporium and Fairway later this month, the company says.

“We knew New Yorkers would appreciate the convenience and nutritional benefits of Activate, and we’re thrilled to roll out product at established Manhattan retailers like Food Emporium and Fairway,” said Reza Mirza, president of Activate Drinks, in a statement. “Our patented twist cap with fresh vitamins is not just a new trend in the beverage industry; we helped create the category which is now seeing increased consumer interest for those looking for fresh ingredients and efficacy. The announcement signals yet another step in our commitment to broadening national distribution.”

The beverage line also will be available online through amazon.com and freshdirect.com in early February.
