Oatworks expands distribution in New York metro area

Deal with Dora’s Naturals distributor will put oat smoothies in new territories, retailers

June 4, 2014

OatWorks oat-powered fruit smoothie bottlesNew York-based Oatworks has signed a distribution deal with Dora’s Naturals, a natural, organic and specialty food and beverage distributor based in South Hackensack, N.J., to expand the reach of its oat and fruit smoothies in the New York metro area.

Oatworks has been self-distributed since launching in Manhattan last summer. This new distribution agreement offers the opportunity to extend the products’ success into new territories and increase the growing list of retailers who carry the products, including Whole Foods Market and FreshDirect.

“We are delighted to have signed a distribution agreement with Dora’s Naturals,” said David Peters, founder and chief executive officer of Oatworks, in a statement. “There is an excellent fit between Dora’s expertise in the natural food and beverage distribution space and Oatworks’ commitment to producing naturally healthy oat-based beverages. Our distribution agreement gives us the opportunity to widen and deepen our retail distribution footprint in the New York metro area.”

Chris Psuik, vice president of business development for Dora’s Naturals, added: “We are excited to have signed up Oatworks, who are bringing genuine innovation to the healthy beverage sector.”

Dora’s Naturals will carry the full line of Oatworks products.
