BevOps Fleet Summit Awards
As wholesalers throughout the alcohol and non-alcohol beverage markets evolve to meet the needs of today’s retailers and consumers, Beverage Industry and the BevOps Fleet Summit team would like to take the opportunity to recognize those that are driving valuable, transformative change in the name of beverage distribution.
Being recognized as one the top wholesalers highlights to the community leadership not just in day-to-day operations but also community outreach, advocacy and team culture. This year’s Wholesaler of the Year recipient has exemplified those qualities while undertaking a merger of two powerhouse wholesale operations. Through local execution, multi-family beverage distributor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits supports its approximately 282,000 customers through its passionate workforce.
To meet the needs and challenges of today’s distribution needs, wholesalers are making capital investment in their facilities to streamline operations. However, day-to-day operations is not the only thing that leading wholesalers are employing. Leaders in the space also are prioritizing sustainable practices. Earning recognition as Facility of the Year, Andrews Distributing exemplified its leadership this with its recent Fort Worth, Texas, project, which was constructed to meet LEED Silver certification.
Today’s beverage fleets are delivering more and more to their retailers and on-premise accounts. However, the leaders of today are not just planning for the year ahead but many years to come. With an investment in electric vehicles for its beverage delivery of the future, Anheuser-Busch has shown why the beer manufacturer earned the title of Fleet of the Year.
