Angela Smith leads the Insights team at Talking Rain Beverage Company, the Washington-based beverage company behind bestselling sparkling water brand Sparkling Ice® beverages. In her role, Angela is a crusader for bringing the authentic voice of the consumer to the table. Working closely with the brand team, she ensures the consumer is part of each decision in the product development process – from ideation to product launch.

For Talking Rain, a consumer-data driven company, to quicken their speed to market, Angela onboarded new tools, data, and strategic partnerships, building out a rich reservoir of consumer data for faster insights. These insights sparked many of Talking Rain’s exciting new products, including Sparkling Ice +Caffeine and Sparkling Ice Spiked® hard seltzer.

Beyond innovation, Angela monitors the many social, political, environmental, economic and health challenges consumers face today. She advocates for consumers to help brand teams develop an empathetic approach to meaningful brand experiences.

Angela earned both her MBA and her Master of Science in Marketing Research at University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to Talking Rain, Angela worked at The Hartman Group, Aperio Insights and Lego.
