Frutly is PepsiCo’s answer to hydrating today’s teens
Water, fruit juice hybrid beverage available nationwide in 3 flavors
PepsiCo, Purchase, N.Y., released one of its newest product innovations: Frutly, a hydrating juice water designed with teens in mind. A newcomer to the juice aisle, Frutly is made with water, fruit juice and electrolytes for taste to provide flavorful hydration and a good source of vitamins C and E, the company says.
Frutly was created in response to a whitespace among juice brands, aiming to reinvigorate the category by addressing parents’ desires for more nutritious beverage options for their families and the needs of teens who have outgrown the juice boxes and pouches of their childhood, according to the company. In fact, 56 percent of people leaving the ambient juice category blame poor nutritional factors like sugar, calories, and artificial sweeteners for pushing them away, the company notes, citing a 2019 IRI study for PepsiCo. Frutly fills this gap, delivering nutritional benefits and hydration without added sugar or artificial sweeteners.
