Woodford Reserve released a video titled “My Old Kentucky Home,” a homage to the now postponed Kentucky Derby. In the video, local Kentucky musician Ben Sollee’s sings the state and the Derby’s signature song at empty grounds of Churchill Downs as he plays his cello on vacant tracks. This marks only the second time in The Kentucky Derby’s 146-year-long history that the event has had to be rescheduled, with the horses scheduled to run Sept. 1. On May 2, Woodford Reserve, the Presenting Sponsor of the Kentucky Derby, joined Churchill Downs to offer “Kentucky Derby at Home” celebrations via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as NBC re-aired the 2015 Kentucky Derby that began American Pharaoh’s historic Triple Crown run.
