Artemis International partners with Weider on ingredients to support heart health
As part of the American Heart Association’s Heart Health Month in February, Ft. Wayne, Ind.-based Artemis International announced a new partnership with Weider Global Nutrition, Phoenix. Artemis’ BerryDark Aronia 15% will be a key ingredient in Weider’s Artery Health formulation supplement to support healthy heart function by keeping arteries flexible though proper calcium transportation and increased blood flow, the companies say. Aronia berries contain flavonoidrich antioxidant ingredients that help consumers maintain proper cardiovascular health, they add.
Chr. Hansen, New Berlin, Wis., topped the 2019 global index of the 100 most sustainable companies, as announced during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The 145-year-old company is ranked the most sustainable company in the world by Corporate Knights, a specialized Toronto-based media and investment research firm. More than 7,500 companies were analyzed against global industry peers on a number of quantitative key performance indicators. Chr. Hansen scored 100 percent on the “clean revenue” indicator, reflecting that the company’s products have clear environmental and certain social benefits, the company says.
