When I was in my 20s, going to bars for happy hour was something my friends and I did with regularity. In fact, I met my husband of 30 years at a bar, and then my husband introduced me to his favorite bar, Duffy’s in Lincoln Park, Ill., which featured quarter beers on tap on Wednesday nights.
Since then, our tastes have evolved and I prefer wine, Margaritas and other mixed drinks while on-premise.
