Carol Stream, Ill.-based Prinova announced the promotion of Cyndie Lipka from senior flavorist to master flavorist. In a career that spans 30 years, Lipka is classically trained as a flavor chemist, one of only 350 globally certified flavorists, the company says. She also was selected as “Flavorist of the Year” for 2017 by the board of Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce Inc.

Geneva, Switzerland-based Firmenich announced that it successfully completed the acquisition of Newark, N.J.-based Natural Flavors Inc. The acquisition will enable Firmenich to build on Natural Flavor’s Stein family’s vision and bring consumers new natural and organic-certified flavors, it says.
