The Wine Group released Chloe 2015 Monterey County Rosé in select markets as part of the Chloe Wine Collection. This first vintage of 2015 Chloe Monterey County Rosé blends 20 percent Pinot Grigio and 5 percent Merlot with 75 percent Pinot Noir grapes sourced from Monterey County vineyards, according to the company. The grapes are night-harvested at 22-23 degrees brix and slowly fermented at 52 degrees Fahrenheit to maintain the natural aromas and acidity of the fruit, it says. The 13.5 percent alcohol-by-volume Rosé offers notes of fresh strawberries, raspberries and watermelon on the nose and palate. The blend is crisp and well-balanced with a bright acidity and creamy mouthfeel, it adds. 2015 Chloe Monterey County Rosé is packaged in a 750-ml glass bottle and has a suggested retail price of $16.99.
