Budweiser commissions art to commemorate 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil
Real-time artwork represents all competing countries, quest for victory
To celebrate the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, the event’s official beer sponsor, St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser brand, partnered with performance painter David Garibaldi to create a commemorative, one-of-a-kind work of art.
Garibaldi created the piece in real-time before the eyes of representatives from all 32 countries participating in next year’s tournament who gathered to watch the 90-minute Final Draw event Dec. 6 at the Brazilian Ambassador’s home in Washington, D.C.
