Home » Pyure Brands launches erythritol alternative sweetener
Pyure Brands launched a commercial-grade U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) certified organic and Non-GMO Project verified erythritol as a healthy alternative to sugar, high-fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners. Erythritol can replicate the familiar mouthfeel of foods and drinks that are sweetened with sugar, making it an ideal solution for food and beverage manufacturers who are looking to reduce calorie counts and sugar content, the company says. Pyure invested in extensive DNA testing during all phases of erythritol production to ensure that the product would meet regulatory standards. The results of the testing were shared with the Non-GMO Project, which led to a grant in recognition of the ingredient’s “verified” designation.
