Livermore, Calif.-based Concannon Vineyards and Dublin-based Cooley Distillery collaborated to launch Concannon Irish Whiskey. The whiskey is craft-distilled at the Cooley Distillery in Ireland, then matured in bourbon barrels for at least four years, after which it is finished in Concannon Petite Sirah wine barrels from California for four months before blending. According to the companies, this process gives the whiskey a fruity characteristic. The suggested retail price for a 750-ml. bottle is $24.99.
