Extracted from Canadean’s Global Packaging Service, USA Beverage Packaging Forecasts to 2015 provides beverage consumption data by beverage category, pack type, pack material and individual pack size.

Beverage categories include beer and individual soft drinks (packaged water, carbonates, juice, nectars, still drinks, squash/syrups, fruit powders, iced/rtd tea, iced/rtd coffee, sports drinks and energy drinks). In addition to pack type, material and size, data also includes refillable vs non-refillable (for glass and PET), carbonation indicator and serving size (single vs multi-serve).

Produced in Excel pivot tables and measured in both million litres and million units, data includes 2000 to 2009 actuals, plus forecasts to 2015.

Pack material  -  board, foil, glass, HDPE, LDPE, metal, paper, PEN, PET, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene, PVC, unpackaged (where applicable)

Pack size  -  individual pack sizes from 5cl to 5,000cl (where applicable)

Refillable vs. non-refillable volume (for glass and PET)

Serving size - single serve (up to 60cl), multi serve (61cl plus)
