New platform featured in K-Supreme Plus SMART brewer

Keurig Dr Pepper, Burlington, Mass., and Frisco, Texas, introduced BrewID, a next-generation technology platform designed to give consumers a customized coffee. The first brewer to feature this technology, the K-Supreme Plus SMART brewer with BrewID, now is available on Keurig.com.
IBM Blockchain Technology traces coffee back to its origin

1850 Coffee has partnered with Farmer Connect and IBM Blockchain Technology to allow coffee drinkers to trace their coffee back to its origin through a QR code located on select bags of its coffee.

Sustainability report showcases efforts in three focus areas

Keurig Green Mountain Inc., Waterbury, Vt., launched its 12th annual Sustainability Report. The report’s theme of “Brewing Transformation” showcases Keurig’s efforts in local communities and across the globe in three main focus areas: environmental responsibility, strong supply chains, and thriving people and communities, the company says.
In celebration of National Hot Cocoa Day on Dec. 13, Keurig Green Mountain Inc., Waterbury, Vt., and Swiss Miss, a brand of Chicago, Ill.-based ConAgra Brands Inc., are introducing two new varieties of Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa K-Cup pods.
The U.S. coffee market remains steady, but a few trends are having an impact on it. A 2015 Gallup study found that Americans are drinking just as much coffee now as they were in 1999, about 2.7 cups a day.
